- Demonstrates the effect of AC-Coupling a sine and square signal with and without offset.
Updated July 2008
- Closed-Loop Control Demonstration
- Demonstrates the effects of signal frequency and gain on closed-loop-control.
Updated March 2011

NEW March 2011
- Exponential Averaging Demo
- Fourier Transform Demonstration
- Demonstrates the calculations and the resulting filter shape of a single Fourier-Transform filter at 10 waves/buffer.
Updated March 2011

- Demonstrates the fitting of data sets (including calibrations) with Polynomial Curves.
Updated March 2011
- Pulse-Alias Demonstration
- Demonstrates the effect of undersampling (violating Shannon's rule) on a Pulse Time History.
Updated March 2011
- Running-Average Filter Demonstration
- Demonstrates the effect on the time history and spectrum of a running-average (convolution) filter.
Updated March 2011

Technical Articles
- Articles by TTi instructor Strether Smith
- Measure Any Parameter with a Single Platform (by Arik Ariav; be sure to read the comments following this article)
- Questions to Ask Before Choosing a DAQ Board
- An Improved Recursive Formula for Calculating Shock Response Spectra, by David Smallwood, 51st Shock and Vibration Bulletin, 1980. This paper, reprinted here by permission of the author, includes enough information to construct the Smallwood Algorithm, which has been adopted as the ISO standard for SRS analysis.
- A Mechanical Analyzer for the Prediction of Earthquake Stresses, by M.A. Biot, Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, Vol. 31, No. 2, 1941. This article describes the genesis of the Shock Response Spectrum. The concept (analytically emulated) is the primary analysis tool used by the USGS for earthquake-damage assessment today.
