Mark Kramer has worked in the Metrology and Testing field since 1980. He has worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist or Quality Program Manager in Metrology since 1994. Mr. Kramer has led or participated on over thirty audits of Department of Navy / Marine Corps calibration laboratories and commercial calibration laboratories. In addition, he has participated as an examiner in Alabama's state quality award and presented papers on Quality Assurance at the Measurement Science Conference and the National Conference of Standards and Laboratories. Mr. Kramer has been an active member on the NCSLi Committee 174 and co-wrote several published documents including the ANSI/NCSL Z540.3, and the ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 comparison to the ISO 17025.
Mr. Kramer designed and led the implementation of the Marine Corps Metrology Quality Assurance Program. He authored the Marine Corps Quality Assurance Manual, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, and numerous Quality Assurance training courses. Under his Quality Management, the Marine Corps Metrology Certification Program was the first auditing group in the Department of Defense to be accredited by an Accreditation Body (International Accreditation Services). He designed a comprehensive Quality Assurance website application that is currently in use by the Marine Corps Quality Program and Department of Navy's Metrology Certification Program. Mr. Kramer has two Associate degrees, a Bachelors of Science degree in education, and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Quality Assurance.
