Richard A. Leatherman has fifty years experience in thermal analysis and design of electronics. He has worked for General Electric Co. as a Training Program Engineer and as a Thermal Systems Engineer. He has also worked with AIL Systems Inc. as a Senior Staff Engineer and since retiring from AIL, he has been president of Thermal Designs Unlimited, consulting privately in thermal analysis and design of electronics. He earned his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York in 1957 and his Master of Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic in 1960.
