Instructor Biography: DONALD M. MCLEOD

Donald M. McLeod has 34 years of experience, performing engineering and project management in aircraft test and instrumentation. He has extensive experience in leading, training and coaching technical personnel.

Mr McLeod worked from 1974 to 2008 at the US Navy's NAVAIR facility at Patuxent River, MD. Most recently, as head of the Flight Test Data Acquisition Branch, Mr. McLeod led a branch of 33 Civil Service engineer and senior technicians and 4 contractor employees. His branch reviewed and approved all project estimates for flight test instrumentation and aircraft electrical modifications. Mr. McLeod assigned test instrumentation projects to subordinates and assisted in execution, providing training and coaching. He spent one year as the Head of the Aircraft Instrumentation Division. Earlier, from 1991 to 2003, Mr. McLeod worked in Test Article Preparation (TAP), serving in various capacities including flight test instrumentation safety and documentation.

Mr. McLeod received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, Bronx, NY, in 1974.
