General Information
for TTi Open Courses

How to Register: Telephone 866-884-4338 (toll-free) immediately to reserve space. (PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BEFORE SPEAKING TO US!) Then, please fill out TTi’s on-line registration form. Advance registration closes two weeks before course begins. If within two weeks, contact TTi for course status and availability. Supervisors may reserve space, sending attendees’ names later. TTi confirms immediately. The registration form also provides an option to reserve a space, without obligation.

Course Fees: See schedule for current course prices. For two or more people from one organization, deduct $100 each. If one participant attends two or more courses in a series, deduct $100 from each course.

Class Hours, dates, and Locations: The courses generally meet from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. See our schedule for details, or contact TTi for the latest information.

Classroom: TTi utilizes lecture/meeting facilities at Las Vegas and selected other locations for course presentations. Class Size is limited to maximize participation by each individual. TTi will provide details, including a map and driving instructions, with your confirmation.

Accommodations: You will need to arrange your own accommodations. In your confirmation letter TTi will provide a short list of nearby hotels.

US Immigration: If you are traveling from another country (excluding Canada and Mexico), allow extra time to obtain a visa for your trip. TTi can provide a letter of invitation if needed to obtain your visa.

Lunches: TTi will provide a light lunch and refreshment during the course presentation.

Payment Terms: On receipt of your registration, we will send you a confirmation package. Payment in the form of check, credit card, purchase order or DoD form 1556 must be received, as well as the completed registration form, at least two weeks in advance of course presentation dates. Tuition is transferable but not refundable.

If you cannot attend, please notify us at least seven days before the course starts. You may either substitute another individual or re-schedule to another course presentation. No-shows will be subject to the full tuition fee.

Course Cancellation: On occasion, we may have to reschedule a course due to reasons beyond our control. In this event we make every effort to provide as much lead time as possible in letting you know. The cancelled course will be consolidated with the next scheduled presentation. We will work with you to minimize your inconvenience and reschedule you to a suitable presentation. However we cannot be responsible for any loss you may experience due to cancellation of airline tickets etc.

Training Method: Each TTi course is presented as a series of highly-interactive lecture/discussion sessions. Problems for individual and group solution are interspersed throughout the course to act as training aids and to evaluate class progress. Special-interest discussions are encouraged outside of the regular course sessions.

Instructor: One TTi instructor normally presents an entire TTi course, rather than using many speakers. Participants follow a controlled, systematic flow of material, and receive an effective, comprehensive program. The instructor welcomes questions and comments during lectures. Private discussions can easily be arranged between instructor and participants after class in the afternoons or evenings. TTi policy is to make every effort to present the scheduled instructor and course content. However, on occasion, it may be necessary to modify the course content or substitute a different, equally qualified instructor, due to circumstances beyond our control.

Text: Each participant will receive a copyrighted course workbook, not to be duplicated or disseminated in any form, written or electronic, without the express written consent of TTi.

Pre-Course Preparation: TTi encourages the participants to review what they have to learn and to direct any questions to TTi by e-mail or telephone prior to the course.

Homework: In order to keep up with the fast pace of the courses, participants are expected to spend time in the evenings, reviewing the day's work, working on examples and reading assignments.

Continuing Education Units, Certificate: Participants satisfactorily completing the course will receive one Continuing Education Unit (C.E.U.) for each ten hours of participation in an organized educational experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. C.E.U. “units” are recognized as evidence of educational achievement and progress. Many employers require employees to earn a certain number of C.E.Us each year in order to stay current in their field of endeavor. Upon satisfactory completion of each course, participants are presented certificates of completion, indicating the number of C.E.Us earned, and a record is maintained at TTi (see Criteria and Guidelines for use of the Continuing Education Unit, International Association of Continuing Education and Training, DuPont Circle, Washington, D.C.)

Not affiliated with any vendor: TTi sells no hardware or firmware. Equipment manufacturers' field sales people may lack time to teach fundamentals. TTi training helps prepare you to select the equipment you really need.

Certificate Programs: These courses have been developed to provide a structured continuing education program for individuals already working in their chosen field of endeavor. TTi does not endorse the capabilities of any individual awarded a TTi certificate. TTi certifies only that to the best of its knowledge, the recipient has completed the desired conditions as specified in the program.

Completion of a TTi certificate program indicates that the participants have been actively involved over an extended period of time, in a structured continuing education program which has been designed to improve their skill and to prepare them for possible advancement in their chosen careers.

Networking: TTi participants have the opportunity to establish long-term relationships for networking and exchange of technical information.

Course Content-Disclaimer: The views expressed during the course presentation are those of the instructor and do not necessarily represent the views or policy of TTi or any other organization. Material presented during class and in the course workbook is simply to explain the principals covered and is to be used only as a guide when developing specific application procedures.

Not Open to General Public: TTi courses are not open to the general public. Individuals may only participate in TTi's various courses and certificate programs through their employer organizations.

No smoking: Our classrooms and break areas are smoke-free. In most cases a separate smoking area is available.

Equal Access: TTi makes every effort to provide the access required for participants who are physically challenged.

Certification of Non-segregated Facilities: TTi certifies that it does not and will not maintain or provide for its employees or students any segregated facilities at any of its establishments, and that it does not and will not permit its employees to perform their services at any location under its control where segregated facilities are maintained.

Equal Employment Opportunity: TTi does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

On-Site Training: TTi can present any of its courses at your facility for a group. The material can be customized to meet your technical and scheduling needs. Call today for a proposal.

We look forward to meeting you!
