Environmental Engineering Specialist (EES) Diploma Program

For whom intended:  The EES Diploma is intended for those involved with a broad range of environmental testing procedures and specifications including vibration, shock and climatics in engineering applications where the product is exposed to these environments during service. The need to understand the effects of these environments on product reliability is paramount today, where electronic/computer components are part of almost every product.

Environmental Engineering Specialists (as mandated by MIL-STD-810), environmental test laboratory managers, engineers and technicians, specification writers, equipment designers, and quality and reliability specialists who must properly measure, quantify, and analyze this generally unfamiliar environment and to reproduce it in environmental test laboratories. It is also applicable for quality and reliability specialists and acquisition personnel in government and military activities and their contractors. Also for Instrumentation specialists who measure transportation, service, and laboratory vibration; Metrologists who use sensors; project personnel, structures and packaging engineers involved with developmental testing and product assurance and acquisition specialists who evaluate test facilities and methods, and to interpret specifications. It is designed to serve the needs of personnel in a wide range of industries where equipment problems may be encountered during the shipment and use of their product. Participants will be exposed to fundamentals of vibration testing; metrology concepts; test instrumentation; climatic and general environmental test procedures; test specifications and the MIL-STD-810G document.
